Tennis Excitement

The excitement started with the Mansfield match. A match sent to a Saturday due to darkness. A match tied at 9 after 18 lines finished. A match where the deciding boys singles court splits sets and draws out the tension. Martin wins 10-9.

On to Lamar. Again, tied at 9 after 18 lines completed. Again, the deciding boys singles match splits sets. This time Lamar is victorious, 10-9. The result - a three-way tie for first between Mansfield, Lamar and Martin. A playoff is necessary and Martin and Lamar faceoff again - at Martin.

And one more time... Martin versus Lamar. The score is tied at 9 after 18 lines completed. Its girls singles remaining. but just like before, the match goes to a third set. Unfortunately, the match goes to Lamar. It was a great run in hope of a 13th consecutive District title but that was not to be.
